Submission of samples and reporting results

Submission of samples

A valid purchase order covering the work requested must accompany the submitted samples. Filling out a purchase order with as much detail as possible will simplify the task of identifying your requirements, and will help us in the timely return of your results. When submitting samples to the Analytical Service, please feel free to notify us in advance by facsimile (08 8303 6621) or email to ensure the work is performed as rapidly as possible.

Samples should be sent to:

Reporting of results

Signed certificates or reports of analysis are faxed to clients upon completion of the work. The original report plus invoice is posted as soon as possible thereafter. Analytical Service will soon move to electronic reporting, which we currently only offer on request

Sample bottles and tubes

Samples need to be submitted in suitable sample containers. Juice and fermenting samples must only be submitted in plastic containers.

The Analytical Service offers a range of free sample bottles and containers for submission of grape and wine samples. These containers are suitable for analyses such as grape maturity analysis, grape colour, tannins etc. Simply call (08) 8303 6600 or email us and request these containers.

Target response time

Every analysis listed on this website is accompanied by a target response time. All target response times refer to working days. It is an Analytical Service goal to achieve these targets. Urgent work may attract a surcharge. Please contact us to confirm the earliest reporting time and the price for urgent work.

Hold back samples

Samples submitted to the Analytical Service are kept for a minimum of 24 hours once reported. For many different analyses, the Analytical Service retains samples for various time periods, depending on the analysis and the request made by the client. These retained samples are often used for export upgrades and analysis checks.
