Position Vacant: Behavioural Scientist – Extension and Adoption

The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry’s own research organisation. It supports a sustainable and successful grape and wine industry through world-class research, practical solutions and knowledge transfer. The AWRI has strong links with the wine industry and other research organisations and provides a stimulating and challenging work environment.

Applications are invited for the position of Behavioural Scientist – Extension and Adoption. The successful applicant will play a key role in the design, focus and delivery of the AWRI’s extension and adoption programs, which aim to disseminate knowledge and information and promote practice change in the grape and wine sector.

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in behavioural science or related discipline, with a postgraduate qualification preferred. They will have at least three years of practical experience in agriculture or food-related industry and the ability to design and manage projects. Superior communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also prerequisites.

The position will be based at the Waite Research Precinct, Adelaide, SA and will work closely with several teams at the AWRI.
