The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry’s own research organisation. It supports a sustainable and successful grape and wine industry through world-class research, practical solutions and knowledge transfer. The AWRI has strong links with the wine industry and other research organisations and provides a stimulating and challenging work environment.
The AWRI is seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially effective marketing professional to this newly created role. With a new strategic plan and growth imperatives across the organisation, the Marketing Lead will play a pivotal role in the future development and growth of the organisation, with particular focus on the Commercial Services arm.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have experience working in small marketing teams and be prepared to work from strategy and development through to all facets of marketing execution. The Marketing Lead will establish the organisation’s marketing function and will work with the Executive Management Group to build understanding and engagement with marketing activities.
As an experienced marketing professional with B2B experience, the Marketing Lead will work across wine and other food and beverage sectors and help to support the growth of the organisation through new services and capabilities.
The position will be based at the Waite Research Precinct, Adelaide, SA and will work closely with several teams at the AWRI.
