Position Vacant: Postdoctoral Research Scientist -Genomics

The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry’s own research organisation. Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Biosciences research team. The position will focus on all aspects of the genomics of wine, including grapevine, yeast and bacteria.

The ideal candidate will have skills in genomic analysis and bioinformatics (including programming in R, Perl or Python) and a track record of successful postgraduate research. They will preferably be technically proficient in molecular genetics and/or have relevant biochemistry experience; be an excellent communicator and team player; and have a high level of integrity and scientific curiosity.

The successful applicant should have relevant tertiary qualifications in Science, including a PhD in a relevant discipline.
