Applications are invited for the position of Scientist/Postdoctoral Research Scientist within the South Australian Metabolomics Facility at the AWRI. The successful applicant will work collaboratively on a range of metabolomics projects and provide professional services in metabolomics to the Australian scientific community and clients from industry, across a broad range of applications and fields.
The ideal candidate will have a BSc (Hons), MSc or PhD in chemistry or biology with a focus on metabolomics, analytical chemistry, bioinformatics or a related field. The applicant should have at least three years’ experience with mass spectrometry platforms (GC/MS and/or LC/MS) and related data processing software in a research or commercial environment. Experience in analytical chemistry related to the study of volatiles and/or non-volatiles in food, beverages or biological matrices is essential.
Experience with statistical methods, computational metabolomics and/or at least one programming language such as R, is desirable.
