The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry’s own research organisation. Applications are invited for the position of Technical Officer within the Biosciences Team at the AWRI. The position will focus on the provision of technical and scientific support for research projects dealing with the microbiology, chemistry and sensory properties of grapes, juice and wine, with particular emphasis on the study of wine microbiology during the fermentation process.
The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in a laboratory environment, an excellent communicator and team player, and have a high level of integrity and scientific curiosity. Experience in microbiology and molecular biology techniques are highly desirable.
