The AWRI seminar team will be visiting the Hunter Valley in May as part of the 2019 grape and wine roadshow seminar program. This program delivers current research and technical information to the Australian grape and wine industry with content tailored to each region’s interests and priorities.
The seminar will conclude with a tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon wines from a trial that showcases how current winemaking practices can influence final wine style. The 17 wines were made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the same vineyard but with different harvest dates and winemaking techniques. The tasting will be a good opportunity to explore and compare the stylistic and compositional differences achieved when one winemaking variable is changed at a time.
