Viticulturist | Full-time | Ongoing | Adelaide, SA
Help shape the future of Australian wine. We’re looking for a Viticulturist to join our Engagement and Sustainability team, helping grape and wine businesses to grow fit-for-purpose grapes and improve their on-farm sustainability. You’ll work with industry, respond to real-world challenges, and be part of projects that make a genuine difference.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide timely technical support through the AWRI Helpdesk, solving viticulture and sustainability queries.
- Investigate technical issues for winegrape producers.
- Share knowledge on responsible agrochemical use and best practice vineyard management.
- Develop and deliver engaging resources, workshops, and communications for industry audiences.
- Collaborate with growers, researchers, and industry partners on innovative projects.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree in viticulture or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ practical experience in grape growing and production.
- Strong understanding of viticulture, ideally in a technical capacity.
- Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, and interpersonal.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and build strong industry relationships.
- Competence with data analysis and digital tools.
- Willingness to travel.
