Research:

• Providing winemaking and technical advice to Australian grapegrowers and winemakers via the AWRI's helpdesk • The AWRI’s national response team to coordinate actions and response to industry issues • The AWRI’s national roadshow educational program, where AWRI research outcomes are delivered to all of Australia’s 64 regions over a 2-year period. • Wine education programs and tastings • Applied research into wine taints and faults, wine instabilities, Dekkera/Brettanomyces yeast spoilage, wine salinity, wine closures and wine packaging, climate adaptation Bio Geoff entered the wine industry in 1998 through the Southcorp Wines (now Treasury Wine Estates) graduate program, and has since worked vintages in most Australian wine regions as well as overseas in France, New Zealand and Spain. Geoff provides free helpdesk winemaking and technical advice for Australian grapegrowers and winemakers. Geoff translates research outcomes into practical advice delivered through wine education workshops, seminars, lectures and various publications. In addition, Geoff delivers wine tasting courses, from the Advanced Wine Assessment Course through to consumer tastings.
