2025/26 Dog book version changes

The 2025/26 Agrochemicals registered for use in Australian viticulture, commonly known as the ‘Dog book’ was released in hard copy and in digital format on 1 June 2025. Key changes to this booklet across the 2025/26 growing season are listed in the table below by publication date.

Export harvest interval changes

  • Miravis (pydiflumetofen) fungicide for powdery mildew has changed from E-L 19 to E-L 25
  • Belanty (mefentrifluconazole) fungicide for powdery mildew has changed from E-L 31 to ‘Use no later than 35 days before harvest’
APVMA active constituent reviews

  • chlorpyrifos has been cancelled. Last possible use date for chlorpyrifos-containing products on winegrapes is 30 September 2025.
  • diazinon has been cancelled. Last possible use date is 10 September 2025.
  • malathion has been cancelled. Last possible use date is 1 May 2026.

Updated guidance information

Updated guidance information

  • CropLife Downy Mildew resistance management strategy updated to include instructions for Group 40 + 49 given registration of this new activity group combination. Refer to page 15.
Correction

  • Trump Spray Oil has now been correctly listed under paraffinic oil
Change to winery restriction level

  • Herbicide Katana 250 WG (flazasulfuron) winery restriction level changed to ‘Restricted for use by some wineries. Contact your winery or grape purchaser prior to use.’ Footnote added about 77 day withholding period for grapes.
Additional products added to existing active ingredients

  • Caribou insecticide (active methoxyfenozide) for control of Lightbrown Apple Moth on grapevines
  • Chicane insecticide (active emamectin) for control of Lightbrown Apple Moth and Grapevine Moth in grapes, except grapes grown for dried fruit production
Removal of products

  • Energise insecticide (active emamectin) replaced by Chicane insecticide
  • Lepidex 500 insecticide (active trichlorfon) has been archived
Product name change

  • MethioSHIELD Snail & Slug bait has changed name to Mesurol Snail & Slug bait
