The chemical labels of many active ingredients registered by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) for use in vineyards, include restrictions relating to grazing and/or cutting for stockfeed. For grape growers, these restrictions must be adhered to if utilising vineyards at any time of the year to graze livestock such as sheep, or to raise poultry.
The below table identifies ‘by letter’ the different grazing restrictions by chemical active ingredient and type. A key further below states these various restrictions using wording stated on the chemical labels.

k – DO NOT use treated produce for stockfood within 7 days of treatment
l – DO NOT graze or cut for stock food for 7 days after application
m – DO NOT allow livestock to graze in vineyards for 14 days after application
n – DO NOT graze treated areas or cut for stock food for 14 days after application
o – DO NOT allow livestock to graze vineyards for 28 days after application
p – DO NOT graze or cut treated areas for stockfood for 28 days after application
