Library services to levy payers

The John Fornachon Memorial Library houses the largest collection of technical grape and wine resources in Australia, including books, eBooks, journals, articles, conference proceedings and more. The library also participates in global library sharing networks, so if we don’t have the resource you are looking for, we can almost always obtain a copy for you through another library.

The library database includes access to eBooks and over 760 online journals available immediately online. During business hours, library staff can assist with specialist information searches, interlibrary loans and arranging for resources to be emailed or posted to you.

While the library catalogue is exclusive to the Australian wine industry, the following resources are openly available:

The AWRI’s library services are supported by Wine Australia, with levies from Australia’s grapegrowers and winemakers and matching funds from the Australian Government.

Library catalogue

The AWRI library catalogue is available to Australian winemakers and grapegrowers who pay the Grape Research or Winegrape levy. All items can be requested online free of charge.
