Event description

Join your fellow enthusiasts in a cozy wine retreat for a hands-on forum of exploration of the scientific wonders of wine.

Learn from enthusiastic wine-loving scientists from the wine industry’s own research and development organisation, The Australian Wine Research Institute (yes, it’s a real place!).

Delve nose first into a wild-fermented Shiraz or relish the texture of a big Cabernet Sauvignon. Find out where that buttery flavour comes from in barrel-fermented Chardonnay, or the tropical aroma in Sauvignon Blanc. Or maybe you always wanted to know what the differences is between a biodynamic, natural or conventional wine?

The evening will include a myth busting segment to debunk some common wine-related folklore and give you the opportunity to ask questions about all things wine and science.

Light refreshments will be available along with a selection of great wines to taste and explanations of what you are tasting and where the characters of the wine have come from.

Activities, myth busting and wine tasting! …all to excite your mind and palate. Places are limited. Don’t miss out!
