As a result of inquiries following last week’s heatwave and subsequent fire and smoke events, the Australian Wine Research Institute, in conjunction with Barossa Grape & Wine Association, is holding an informal Q & A session on smoke taint for grape growers and winemakers on Thursday 30 January from 5-6pm at the Eden Valley Hotel,  High Eden Ridge Road, Eden Valley.

This session will aim to communicate the current understanding of the mechanism of smoke taint, testing procedures and services that are available to support both grape growers and winemakers.

If you would like to know more about identifying and managing smoke taint then you are urged to attend.

For more information on smoke taint, please contact Con Simos at the AWRI on 0448 889 432. For more information on the Q & A Session and to RSVP, please contact Ashleigh Fox at Barossa Grape & Wine Association on 8563 0650.
