The AWRI is seeking to appoint two non-executive Directors to its skills-based Board for a term of three years commencing 1 November 2023. These positions are both remunerated.
The ideal candidates will understand the governance of complex organisations, have enthusiasm to burn and a fresh, futurist outlook. Formal Australian Institute of Company Directors qualifications or alumni of agricultural leadership programs will be considered favourably. Above all else, candidates should be influential leaders, consensus builders and wise executive mentors and bring diverse skills and experiences to the AWRI Board. Specific skills and experience being sought include either strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, market analysis and consumer insights or, direct experience in the growth and development of services and markets for commercial scientific service organisations or taking IP to market.
