Wine as you see it today isn’t the same drink it was 200 years ago – It’s better! Find out how scientific breakthroughs have made wine more delicious than ever!

Join enthusiastic wine-loving scientists from the Australian Wine Research Institute in an evening of wine tasting and story-telling. Explore some of the game-changing discoveries that made wine what it is today, and journey into the future with a look at the challenges and emerging technologies that will change how wine is produced, viewed and consumed.

How do microbes make wine taste so good and so different from grapes? How can wine last so long? What difference does the cork or screw cap make to the wine? Discover what it takes to make wine taste better, keep longer and stay clear and bright.

The presenters will also debunk some common wine-related folklore and give you an opportunity to ask questions about all things wine and science at a group discussion.

Soak in the view over the Torrens from the fabulous Gilbert Suite at the Adelaide Convention Centre, as you relish the wine and the science, in a fun-packed evening of entertainment. Activities, stories and wine! …all to feed your mind and palate. Don’t miss out!
